April Wrap Up

I read a total of 11 books this month; a mix of physical books, e-books and ARC’s. If you follow me on Instagram, which you should, you will notice that my TBR stack for the month ends up looking quite different than my wrap up at the end of the month. This usually happens because if I am reading a long series, such as The Mortal Instruments (which I am loving) I tend to get distracted by all the pretty books and sometimes take breaks to read others. Or like this month, I received an ARC copy of “All The Missing Girls” by Megan Miranda and I dropped the book I was reading to read it. If you haven’t heard of it yet, see my previous blog post/review and mark your calender’s for it’s release date on June 28th. It quickly became one of my favorite books. Anyway, here is what I read this month and what I thought. (P.S. Last month I posted mini reviews for all of the books I read during my wrap up blog post, but when I read 10 books a month, that becomes a very long blog post. So every book I list I typically write a blog post for, with a few exceptions.)

All The Missing Girls by Megan Miranda (ARC )- 5/5 stars

The Last One by Alexandra Oliva (ARC)- 3/5 stars

The Guardian by Elizabetta Holcomb (ARC)- 3/5 stars

City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments #2) by Cassandra Clare- 4/5

The Bone Lady: Life as a Forensic Anthropologist by Mary H. Manhein- 4/5

Too Late by Colleen Hoover -4/5

What We Saw by Aaron Hartzler – 5/5 stars

This is Not A Test (This is Not a Test #1) by Courtney Summers – 4/5 stars

Please Remain Calm (This is Not a Test #1.5) by Courtney Summers – 4/5 stars

The 5th Wave (The 5th Wave #1) by Rick Yancey – 4/5 stars

City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments #3) by Cassandra Clare – 5/5 stars

I don’t like picking favorite books, because I have so many, but I think my favorites this month were All The Missing Girls, What We Saw and City of Glass. What were your favorite books read during the month of April?

Great Wrap up and reading month! My TBR always ends up so different to what I have planned, I now just pick 2 or 3 and then see what I’m in the mood for as the month goes on 🙂

My Favorites in April would have to be Lady Midnight By Cassandra Clare and The Night Circus By Erin Morgenstern, I really like Too Late as well!

Thank you! I should probably do that. I always have about 10 books on hold with the library, so if they are suddenly available, it always changes.
I’ve heard great things about Lady Midnight, I bought it but i still have to finish the last 3 books in The Mortal Instruments series before reading it. I also have the Night Circus and have been wanting to read that. I haven’t heard much about that book but it sounded fantastic! And yes, me too, I love all of Colleen Hoover’s work!
