Owl Crate Review

So after much debate about a variety of different book boxes (I didn’t realize how many there were) I decided to order an Owl Crate for the month of September. Here is my first thought – why did I wait so long to order one? It was so much fun to open, it had high quality bookish items and it had a newly released YA book that I hard planned on buying! So I wanted to do  a brief breakdown of the items that were contained inside for anyone who is thinking about purchasing one! So first here is a picture of everything in the box – I apologize about the lighting, the weather in Michigan lately has been quite cloudy and rainy.

The book, Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake has been a book I have been looking forward to reading. I actually received an ARC of this book (in e-book form) and didn’t have a chance to read it before the release date. But if you follow me on here or on any of my social media sites, you know I much prefer physical books to reading on my Kindle. SO I was very excited for the physical copy of this book. Next we have the amazing and delicious smelling Celaena’s Cake candle from  The Melting Library. If you never purchased a bookish candle from The Melting Library, I highly recommend you do, they are amazing. And this one was a special edition for the OwlCrate and isn’t available in the shop right now, so that is kind of cool. The amazing Six of Crows was created by Eviebookish and the canvas pouch inspired by Miss Peregrine’s School for Peculiar Children was made by Out of Print. And then of course the bath bomb, which I gifted to a friend who thought it was awesome!

Overall, I thought this box was fabulous. Not only did I really like the book that was included, which is quite important to me, but I also loved all of the items included. The Six of Crows bookmark and the candle by The Melting Library were my favorite. I decided to keep my subscription to Owlcrate and I can’t wait for the October box. I think I already figured out what book is included, which once again was one I was planning on buying, but they said they are including a cold-weather item, so I imagine that means either a scarf or a hat, so that is awesome. I just found it so much fun to open not knowing what bookish delights were inside.

You can order your Owlcrate here and if it is your first time ordering and you are a Bookstagrammer, I would look through the people you follow because I guarantee at least one of them is a rep for OwlCrate and has a discount code. If not, you can use the code WELCOME15 to receive 15% off your first box. The theme for October is Once Upon A Dream and it sounds magaical!
