April Wrap Up

I only read 9 books this month! We finally got some warmer weather here in Michigan and our new house needed a great deal of work on the landscaping. I didn’t get to read as much as I wanted so I am hoping that once we get all the big projects done, I’ll have more time. I did however manage to read a few books that have been on TBR for a long time. The books at the top are from my personal TBR and I either own them or I borrowed them from my library’s e-lending program. The book at the bottom are ARCs or review copies from publishers!

The Glass Castle by Jeanette Wells  4/5 stars

The Danish Girl by Davud Ebershoff  3/5 stars

The Hours by Michael Cunningham  3/5 stars

A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park  4/5 stars

The DIY Home Planner: Practical Tips & Inspiring Ideas to Decorate It Yourself by Karianne Wood  4/5 stars

Blood Will Out by Jo Treggiari  2/5 stars

Giant: Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, James Dean, Edna Ferber and the Making of a Legendary American Film by Don Graham  3/5 stars

Girl Wash Your Wash: Stop Believing the Lies ABout Who You Are So You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be by Rachel Hollis  4/5 stars

Strong As A Mother: How to Stay Healthy, Happy and (Most Importantly) Same from Pregnancy to Parenthood: The Only Guide to Taking Care of You by Kate Rope   4/5 stars

I really enjoyed Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. I wasn’t familiar with her blog or writing until the publisher sent me a finished copy of this book. I absolutely loved this book! Not only are all of the topics completely relatable, but the author is hilarious. Highly recommend this one. I also really liked The Glass Castle and finally had a chance to read it, since it has been on my TBR for such a long time. It was a very interesting story about family and I really enjoyed the authors writing. I’ve got a long lists of books for my May TBR, what are you planning on reading in May?

Many people have recommended Glass Castle to me over the years, but I just haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it! Happy May 🙂
