June Wrap Up

So I read a total of 13 books during June; about half of them were ARCs and the other were from my personal TBR. The books at the top are from my personal TBR and I either own them, read them on Kindle Unlimited or borrowed them through the library. The books at the bottom are ARCs or review copies sent to me from publishers

The Outskirts by T.M. Frazier 4/5 stars

The Outliers (The Outskirts Duet #2) by T.M. Frazier  3/5 stars

Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan  4/5 stars

City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments #5) by Cassandra Clare  4/5 stars

The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult  3/5 stars

Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult  3/5 stars

One Small Thing by Erin Watt  3/5 stars

Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage  3/5 stars

I Can Only Imagine by Bart Miller  4/5 stars

Grace Like Scarlett by Adriel Booker  4/5 stars

Believe Me by J.P. Delaney  3/5 stars

Tides: The Science and Spirit of the Ocean by Jonathan White  4/5 stars

First, thank you to all the great publishers who sent me ARCs and review copies this month. One Small Thing by Erin Watt was probably my favorite ARC this month and it is actually the first stand alone I have read by the author. I really loved J.P. Delaney’s first book, The Girl Before, but found I was a bit underwhelmed by Believe Me. Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage was hard to rate; it was definitely unlike anything I have read before and it certainly keeps the reader intrigued throughout the whole story.

I finally had some time to get to some books on my own TBR and I have been reading some books that are available on Kindle Unlimited since I have a 3 month subscription ending at the end of July. I really liked The Outskirts T.M. Fraizer but wasn’t as big of a fan of the sequel. A River in Darkness and Brain on Fire are both excellent non-fiction books that I would recommend and A River in Darkness is currently available on Kindle Unlimited. And I finally finished the 5th book in TMI series, City of Lost Souls, now I just need to read City of Heavenly Fire, along with the other 8 books I have from the author! One Small Thing by Erin Watt was probably my favorite book this month, along with A River in Darkness and City of Lost Souls. What was your favorite book you read this month?

Unique is certainly the word I would use! Bloggers who have reviewed it so far seem to either really like it or not at all. I’ll be interested to hear everyone else’s reviews of it!
